F.A. Charter Standard

We have now been awarded the F.A. Charter Standard. This has involved a great deal of work by the Chairman, Secretary and all of the team managers and coaches, even though most of the procedures were already in place.

This accreditation signifies that our club is run along recognised lines, has correctly qualified coaches, and adhers to the relvant codes of practice. One of the main criteria for this is that each of our (23) teams is to have at least one coach qualified to F.A. Level 1. This qualification includes things like First Aid and Child Protection as well as the communication side of passing on proper football techniques.

One of our coaches, Craig Short, has taken on the challenge and is being kindly sponsored by his employer E-on. As part of his sponsorship agreement Craig is being asked to document his progress and this is to be made into a series of articles that will appear in the company magazine.
